Mental health
Mrs Macdonald, our Parent Inclusion Worker, is our Mental Health First aider in school. A Mental Health First Aider in school is the go-to person for anyone who is going through some form of mental health issue.
The first aider will be present to help guide the person in distress to the relevant help that they need. Please contact Mrs Macdonald if you or you know someone in school who needs support.
To provide further support and to raise awareness of mental health issues, a number of staff within school and parents have been trained on ‘Mental Health awareness’ and ‘Mental Health in children and young people’.
There are various support groups and charities that can offer advice and support for anyone suffering from mental health issues. Some of these are as follows;
